The video is about the whole process of NIO ET7 battery swap at NIO power swap station 2.0. The power swap 2.0 is more efficiency, and less human involved. It is almost fully automatic during process. The major advantage of NIO is the power swap, which allows NIO cars to get fully charged battery in less than 4 mins. The battery swap of ET7 and other NIO SUV models are not much different. Battery swap is much faster than superchargers, and it would improve the experiences of electric vehicle. Therefore, the time consumed on getting range back would be much less than other EVs. However, we may need to consider the waiting time in some busy battery swap stations due to the limited amount of batteries on the station. In rund vier Minuten wird eine leere Batterie aus dem SUV ES8 entnommen und durch eine volle (90%) getauscht. Damit kann man weitere 450 km fahren. Nebenan stehen Schnelllader von Mer sowie ein Tesla Supercharger. Die Fahrer dort stehen länger. Wird sich der Batteriewechsel in der Elektromobilität durchsetzen? One of the major advantage of NIO is the battery swap, which allows NIO cars to get fully charged battery in 5 mins. If we compare with superchargers it will be much faster, and would improve the user experiences of electric vehicle. Therefore, the waiting time would be much less than other EVs like Tesla, Xpeng, BYD, and Li Auto. However, the waiting time seems increased in some busy battery swap station due to the limited amount of batteries avaliable on the station. In terms of charging experience and service capability, NIO's leading edge has been constantly improving. On NIO Day, the 500kW ultra-fast charging station and the third-generation power swap station are officially released. The third-generation power swap station adopts a new power swap mode, raising capacity to 408 swaps per day, a 30% increase compared with the second-generation power swap station. Each equipped with two laser radars and two Nvidia OrinX chip, the third-generation power swap station with the total computing power of 508TOPS is compatible with the Automatic Summon & Swap feature, where the station is able to communicate with the car and automatically navigates the car to complete the swap. Moreover, with a maximum current of 650A and a maximum power of 500kW, it takes only 20 minutes to charge the 100kWh battery pack from 10% to 80%. My first time visiting the newer second generation NIO Battery Swap. I really like how easy it was, just pull up, push the button, and the car takes over. However it really wasn't much faster, if at all, than version 1.0. Still it does have some benefits which I describe in the video. We swapped the battery from the NIO ET7 at the Nio Poer Swap station in Utrecht the Netherlands. This part is a full non edited version from inside the car. It took 7 minutes and 52 seconds.It looked the car swap started a little bit late. I have seen swaps in just over 5 minutes. We swapped the battery from a 100KW to a 100KW. But you can also swap it for a 75KW and later this year for a 150KW battery. Nio is a new Chinees Electric Car company that was introduced in the Netherland at the end of 2022.
