What an adventure at Hyper Fest! I had the time of my life. In this video, I want to give you a front-row seat to all the excitement, adrenaline, and incredible moments I experienced during this unforgettable event. At Hyper Fest, I had the opportunity to indulge in my passion for motorsports. We were drifting on three different courses, feeling the adrenaline as I pushed myself to the limit. One of the highlights was road racing with Mike Moore Racing's S197 in HFGT. The power, the speed, and competition on the track wheel to wheel was rad. The camaraderie with the team and the intense competition added an extra layer of excitement to the mix. But that's not all! We also took a late night shred through the woods off-roading with the Bronco Sport RTR. The Bronco Sport RTR proved its capabilities, making the off-road journey an unforgettable part of my Hyper Fest experience. What made this event special was the presence of my long-time friends. We shared the joy of driving, hung out together, and made memories that will last a lifetime. The laughter, camaraderie, and shared passion created an incredible atmosphere that added a unique touch to the entire event. The competition heats up as I face off against my good friend and fellow driver, Travis Reeder, in an intense battle during the Top 32 round. We push our skills to the edge, trading smoke and precision as we strive to outperform each other and after a OMT battle he makes a mistake, I hold my run together and move onto top 16. But the thrill of victory turns bittersweet in the Top 16 round when I encounter a setback. In my eagerness to secure a win and the feeling that I was at disadvantage in my chase run, I push the car beyond its limits, causing me to hit inner clip 1 while descending the hill. It's a frustrating moment as I realize the dream of advancing further slips away. While losing is never easy, the event itself is filled with incredible energy and a sense of camaraderie among the drivers. The Formula Drift Atlanta experience is one that fuels my passion for the sport, reminding me of the constant pursuit of improvement and the highs and lows that come with it. Vaughn went ahead to have a perfect event 1st qualifying and 1st place overall! James ended up top 8 and he’s getting more comfortable in our very different to drive cars. Picture this: the practice sessions were an absolute blast. I was out there, chasing cars, ripping it up with my fellow drivers, and just living up the rush. We were having a total blast, and I couldn't have asked for a better time. But then, out of the blue, disaster struck. We lost a motor headed up to the line Thursday. Talk about a major setback! It was a tough call, but we decided to skip practice and save the car for qualifying. We had to make some tough choices, and that was the one that made the most sense at the time. When qualifying rolled around, I'll be honest, it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. It was one of those "okay, but not great" situations. Hey, it happens, right? Sometimes things just don't go according to plan, and that's all part of the wild ride that is motorsports. We ended up with an 80-something and were set to battle Travis Reeder in 32. Join me in this video as I take you behind the scenes of my rollercoaster weekend at Formula Drift Atlanta. You'll witness the highs, the lows, and everything in between. AE86's and Foxbody Mustang's are the best budget cars of the 80's. Mediocre handling, decent power to weight, straight axle simplicity, and literally the best ratio of danger/fun for the dollar. (until recently) I picked this 86 up in Chicago right after Sema and drove it 1400 miles back home immediately. It made it without any issues outside of using 2 qts of oil and a passenger lower arm jam nut coming loose. It rips! It sounds great and looks amazing. In this video, we'll go through the various modifications you can make to your solid axle car to make it more suitable for drifting. We'll cover topics such as shocks, control arm geometry, and spring rates, explaining how each of these modifications can affect the way your car handles. The goal is to help fine-tune your car to your personal driving style, and give more confidence to drive hard! Today RTR has a down day between races, so we decided to take a tour of RTR's facility in Concord, NC. This is where the RTR Team builds our FD Cars (still on their way back from Irwindale) as well as the Mach E 1400, RTR Vehicles Bronco, F-150, Mustang, and more. In this video we talk about how to manage the traction of your drift car. Don’t get greedy with it, it can be a slippery slope of losing the ability to drive your car. Make sure you have some quality dampers as they are the most important part, I recommend BC Racing for all drifting related shock absorbers. Today Im sitting down to finally make an intro for my newest project #PARTYUPANOTCH This car is putting me in some new territory as I have never built a serious solid axle car let alone a fox body. There are a lot of firsts honestly even the Ecoboost 2.3 on a standalone attached to a ZF gearbox and more. I feel as though a lot of the Mustangs for drifting could use some help in the setup department and me building one from the ground up will allow me to shine some light on that AND develop some parts. This thing should end up being really light, reliable, and easy to maintain. Stay tuned to the channel for build vids and updates. Reese and I have been friends for over 15 years, he was FD spotter of the year in 2021, a badass instructor, pro am judge, and drives like an animal. I have been drifting for almost 20 years and my favorite type of driving is the mountain. Most people know it now a days as the touge, from all the japanese videos. Vaughn and I tandemed the entire run! It was so raw, unfiltered, and a personal dream for the both of us. Since we already had the logistics taken care of, I figured it would be awesome to shred it in my foxbody with the takumi san mountain run haha. This shoot was insane, so so so sketchy. We're not going to go into details on how to setup a chassis completely, but in this video we will explain how to set up camber, caster, and toe in the front and back of a drift car and what it does. I get this question about 10 times a day, so I figured id show you how I setup separate shock and spring coilovers.
